Just saying that MAYBE it isn't a good idea to price a hat 1/3 of a full game.
#Path of exile store prices history for free#
just say a thank you to all the people who do pay those prices which allows funding to this game so that you can continue to play for free :p You know, MAYBE if the prices where lowered a bit this guy would spend money on the stuff in the store page for this game. there is nothing that is absolutely necassary. ZeRo|*Overlord Grizzledorf*:not to be rude but dont like price dont pay. Come on people, is that really worth 8-10 dollars? For a single thing mind you

What can you get with 10 bux or less? A tiny pet you can barely see, a particle effect on your weapon that barely makes it stand out, a slight change to one of your skills that looks no different than any other skills you might have. Everything worth getting/is actually nice (at the 20 dollar range not worth it at all), is set at a high price range. It's true, you might not find very many other games out there that make so much of their F2P game available without charge, but you would also be hardpressed to find one that charges as much for their premium content as Path of Exile.Īlso before you silly people keep making post after post without reading that people have already made your post "Oh hey it's like you're treating every thing in the store is 20 dollars!" The point is, what you can buy for <50 is a joke, and is also priced in such a way you either are left with a small amount which is designed to make you want to throw more money in just to get that other money spent, this sounds silly but people actually do this an awful lot and the developers know it. Wanna know what's worse? Of these things you can buy, most are at amounts like 30 and 40 meaning you have to spend another five bux to get another one of those things, or settle for a tiny pet that costs 15 that does very little and have an extra 5 points just sitting there forever. I just checked the store and the amount of things you can buy with 50 points are extremely few, the majority of things cost much more than 50 points. They are giving the game to you for free, you are not buying the game it is a gift to you, the only thing you can buy is a very few non-cosmetic mostly unneeded upgrades and then ecosmetics. No, no that isn't what you brought, you brought a hat for 22.50. You can't have the mindset of, "Oh, I just spent 22.50 on a single hat, that's fine because it's like I bought the game and got a sweet hat as a bonus". Ya see the problem with that argument is that you are throwing in the price of the game into the price of the items and that's not how F2P works. To everyone with the argument, "Oh this game has a perfect F2P model, everything is free that is the game save for cosmetic items so it's totally fine they charge sick nasty amounts for basic things, and a third of the price of a AAA game for a single hat, you are pretty much spending to buy the game!" I want to support your game but buying a helment, a single vanty time, for 22.50 is uncalled for.ĭoes no one care about these huge prices?
